These two buttons were long ago affixed to a piece of cardboard and labeled to indicate they were �taken from dead Rebels after the Battle of the Wilderness� May 5 - 7, 1864. They have been in the Coleman collection since 1980. Both buttons are round and appear to be made of wood; one is raised, and the other has a gold colored back and edging. Most interesting.
