In addition to the address, there is a notation that this and two other letters have been forwarded from Madison. On the reverse Patrick himself wrote, �Received from John Parcles Co H 69 Ohio Vols Inf and the 2nd day of July 1864 while at Jefferson Hospital...from Madison Ind USA Gen Hospital Received by and written to Philip F.
