Inside are 5 metal instruments, 4 of which have ebony handles & two marked with the initials ?WVa.? The mfg identification has long since worn off, but the words ?New York? are still readable on top of the case. A representative piece in solid, historic condition, but missing a couple of instruments, so more affordable than a complete surgeon?s kit It shouldn?t be too difficult to find a couple of surgical knives to make it complete either.
