D901 - Medical Cupping Device

$127.50
According to Dr. Damman, a cupping device was used to introduce a counter-irritant to offset the pain caused by disease. It was most frequently used on patients with pneumonia. The cup, apparently, was filled with alcohol which was ignited. When the liquid was hot, the cup was pressed against the skin causing a blister to raise. The blister was then lanced in an effort, supposedly, to lessen the lung pain! Of course, it cured absolutely nothing. This device is made of glass and measures @ 2_ tall x 2" in diameter at the mouth. Condition is excellent.
