This rather unique little item is made of heavy cardstock and covered with dark green leatherette. It measures 11 3/4" x 9 1/4" when closed. It opens to reveal compartments for letters answered, unanswered and notes and addresses. Also when open, the base unfolds to make a desk surface. The leatherette is embossed with an attractive floral pattern. The inside compartments and desk surface are also embossed. The case has an efficient lock on the front and still retains its original key. This is the first of these we have come across in a very long while and it must be described as in excellent condition just showing evidence of honest use
