This is an open-faced, period watch, a French import in excellent working condition. It is a key-wind, key-set watch and has a diameter of 1:". The porcelain face has hand painted Roman numerals and a separate second hand. A fine filigree design is etched on the back of the coin silver case. Inside the case are the markings: E Chappement / M Chullandar / Quatre / Trous en rubis. There is a little wear on the back of the case, but all appears to be original except, perhaps, the key. It is old, but the originals seldom survived.. These are becoming extremely scarce, especially in this fine working condition. .
