This is a most stirring letter, written by the Military Committee of the 142nd Ohio Vol. Infantry (Knox County) to the Governor of Ohio. This gives a full account of the famous "100 Days Boys" detailing the terms of their enlistment and service. These men were not supposed to serve except in Ohio, but were, instead, sent into battle. The committee is outraged, but extremely tactful in imploring the Governor to intervene in their behalf. Four pages, handwritten and measuring 7_" x 12_".
